| Currently part owner and instructor for Acadiana School of the Arts, teaching an average of 60 students weekly, instructor and arranger for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s marching drum line, clinician and instructor for music camps throughout the south. Also, cofounder and currently performing with Spank The Monkey, as well as freelancing with various other artists. Over the past 25 years have performed over 4500 gigs, and counting.
Education: New Iberia High school, University Of Louisiana, Musician Institute Hollywood California Graduated with Honors.
Teachers: Marty Hurly, Ralph Hardimon, Casey Sherrell, Mike Mann, Allen Dawson, Steve Houghton, Joe Pocaro, Ralph Humphrey and Chuck Silverman.
Performances: USL Marching drum ensemble Winners of P.A.S. Marching drum ensemble three years, second for two years. First place P.A.S. snare drum individual competition.
Performed with USL Jazz, Big Band and small ensemble, concert band, wind ensemble,
percussion ensemble and others. Marched snare for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. for three years, section leader for one year, instructor for two years. Took second place DCI Snare Drum in individuals. First place DCI Midwest individuals.
Commercial Band Experience: While in Los Angels California recorded, toured and performed with many national acts such as Deborah Hanan, Hearts and Minds and others. While in Louisiana toured, performed and or recorded with the Andy Smith Band, Percy Sledge, Spank The Monkey, Wayne Toups, Richard Lebouef, Black Bayou Construcktion, Steve B, Crossroads Church, East Bayou Baptist Church, Shimmur, and many others.
